at 166x without a filter appeared moderately bright, very small, round, about 12 diameter. Takes 360x but no structure is visible. Surrounded by three mag 13 stars 0.8' N, 1.0' SW and 1.3' E of center. Three collinear mag 11 stars oriented SSW-NNE begin 3' NE. Located 30' SE of mag 3.3 Epsilon Cassiopeiae.

very low surface brightness haze at 62x using an H-beta filter, though nebulosity seen to 15' diameter and extending generally to the north and NE of AE Aurigae.

fairly faint, small, almost round, stellar nucleus. Surprisingly bright for an IC galaxy. Located 26' N of NGC 1418 in the NGC 1417 group.

first of three on a line with NGC 1417 and NGC 1418. Extremely faint, round, very diffuse. Detectable with averted vision only 20% of time. Located 7.3' WNW of NGC 1417.

at 79x and OIII filter appears faint, small, round. At 166x and UHC filter can just hold steadily with averted vision, fairly small, almost round.

very faint, fairly large, very diffuse, fan-shaped. Forms a pair with IC 63.

very faint, fairly large, very diffuse, visible with averted only. Forms a pair with IC 63.

about 50 stars mag 10-14 in cluster. The bright stars from a Y asterism. Located 1.5° ENE of Xi Puppis.

about 50 faint stars spread out in a 10' diameter over some haze. Several stars near the center are arranged in a semi-circle open on the east side. A string of stars trail off to the SE.

brightest of double galaxy, moderately bright, small, round. A mag 9 star is 3' NE.

this is the SW member of a double galaxy with NGC 2475. Almost stellar, round, faint, NGC 2475 very close NE.

faint, fairly small, almost round, diffuse, slightly elongated N-S. Located 14' E NGC 1418.

faint, small, oval ~N-S. A mag 12 star is 1' S. Third of three in a group.

moderately bright, slightly elongated ~N-S, small bright core. A mag 10.5 star is close SSE. Second of three in a group.

moderately bright, round, moderately large, weak concentration, diffuse.

fairly bright, moderately large, round, bright core. Forms the vertex of an isosceles right triangle with mag 8.1 SAO 149035 4' NNE and mag 9.2 SAO 149028 4' WNW.

very faint, small, round, small bright core, stellar nucleus, can hold with averted vision. Forms a close pair with much brighter NGC 1241 1.6' SW. Located 2.1' SE of mag 9.0 SAO 130329.

moderately bright, round, bright core surrounded by a diffuse halo. Forms a close pair with fainter NGC 1242 1.6' NE. Located 3.0' due south of mag 9.0 SAO 130329.

fairly bright, very small, round, stellar nucleus.

rich cluster of two dozen stars arranged in an arc. There are five bright stars including a mag 10/11.2 double star at 9 separation.

faint, fairly small, diffuse, about six very faint stars over unresolved haze. Located 10' SSW of mag 6.6 SAO 11875.

fairly faint, fairly small, almost round, weak concentration.

faint, small, elongated NW-SE. A mag 10.5 star at the NW edge detracts from viewing.

extremely faint, fairly large. A mag 7 star 4' WSW detracts from observation.

at 166x, bright central star visible centered within a fairly small prominent disc.

Slightly non-stellar at 79x, verified by blinking with an OIII filter.  Located just 2.0' SSW of a mag 9 star.  At 166x appears moderately bright even unfiltered, small, round.  At 214x using an UHC filter; fairly bright, high surface brightness.

At 62x and OIII filter visible with direct vision. Very large, very diffuse, round. Using averted vision two brighter portions are just visible at the NW and SE edge of the rim.

Jack Marling and I made the first known visual observation of JnEr 1 on 23 Feb 1985 with the 17.5" f/4.5 at Hidden Hill Observatory.

Visible at 105x unfiltered although appears very faint and stellar. Adding an OIII filter the planetary is easier to view and appears fairly faint and slightly non-stellar. At 214x and UHC filter; moderately bright, small, round, 10"-15" diameter.

At 166x (unfiltered) appears fairly faint and very small. Located just 1.1' ESE of a mag 9.5 star. Using 214x (unfiltered) appears moderately bright, round. Adding a UHC filter, it was fairly bright and slightly elongated NW-SE.

At 166x with Daystar 300, very faint, small, round, definite with averted. A brighter mag 10 star 40" E forms the east vertex of three mag 10 stars about 10' separation. Note: four months earlier Jack Marling made the first known visual observation.

At 214x, three mag 11/13 stars and about 10 very faint stars over an extensive unresolved hazy region, elongated SW-NE.

Failed to see both with and without filters at various powers.

Extremely faint at 79x and OIII filter, fairly small, round. Difficult to view and cannot hold steadily with averted, estimate V = 14.5-15. Located 3.3' ENE of a mag 10.5 star.
